# 13. Switch Agent Language

This adds an extra language to the agent so it can understand and reply to users who speak a different language than the agent's main one. It helps avoid misunderstandings and keeps the conversation smooth.

Example: if the agent's main language is English but the user starts speaking Hindi, the agent can switch to Hindi and carry on without any issue.

To add a switchable language, you configure:

* **Languages:** the language(s) the agent can switch to.
* **When to Switch:** instructions telling the agent when to change languages. Example: if the user speaks 3 Hindi words in a row.
* **Message Type While Switching:** what the agent says while switching. Static is a custom message you provide; None switches silently, saying nothing.
* **Start Message After Switch:** what the agent says after switching. Static is a custom message you provide; Dynamic lets the AI decide based on the conversation context.
