# Basic Mode vs Advanced Mode

Before we look at each type, note that every function comes in two modes — Basic and Advanced.

| **Basic Mode** **(no coding required)**         | No code needed. Connect your existing APIs. Just configure the URL, method, headers, authentication, and parameters. Best for CRMs, booking systems, WhatsApp APIs, and other third-party services.                                      |
| **Advanced Mode** **(coding knowledge needed)** | Custom logic written in code. Pre-Call and In-Call use Python; Post-Call uses JavaScript. AI code generation is available to help. Best for dynamic prompt injection, scoring, calculations, data transformation, and complex workflows. |
