AI FDE has three operating modes. Choose a mode before sending your request.

Ask

Discuss and analyze versions without making changes.

Auto

Build directly, with no confirmation step.

Plan

Review questions and approve a plan before building.

Ask mode

Use Ask when you want a read-only review. Examples:
Ask mode can inspect and explain information, but it does not update an agent or create a version.

Auto mode

Use Auto when the result is clear and you do not need to approve a plan. Example:
AI FDE starts the work directly and saves a new version when the build succeeds.
Auto mode does not show a final confirmation before normal agent changes. Use Plan mode when you want to review the proposed work first.

Plan mode

Plan is the default mode when you open AI FDE from the dashboard.

Send the request

Explain what you want to create or change.

Answer questions

If A few questions appears, select the required answers and choose Send answers.

Review the plan

AI FDE shows a Proposed plan describing the work.

Approve or revise

Select Approve & build to continue, or Suggest changes to request a different plan.

Wait for the result

AI FDE builds the changes and saves a new version after successful completion.

Custom answers

If the available answers do not match your requirement, select Tell AI-FDE what to do differently and enter your own response.

Suggest changes to a plan

Select Suggest changes, describe what should be different, and select Send changes. Example:
Use Plan mode for new agents, pathway changes, functions, translations, or anything that may affect live calls.
