Open Agents
Go to Dashboard → Agents and click Create Agent.

Pick Chat Agent
Choose Chat Agent — “AI agent for WhatsApp & text-based conversations” — rather than Voice Agent.

Choose the channel
WhatsApp or Instagram. For Instagram, also pick the agent type: DM Agent, Comment Agent, or DM & Comments Agent.

Continue into the builder
You land in the chat agent builder with an unsaved draft. Nothing exists on the server until you save.

The header
Along the top of the builder:- Agent name — editable inline. Give it a name that says what it does, not “Test 3”.
- Agent ID — with a copy button. This is what the API and your own integrations reference.
- Version selector — switch, create and publish versions. See Versions and publishing.
- Save / Update — writes the current version.
- Publish — makes a saved version the live one.
- Import / Export — move an agent between accounts, or keep a JSON backup.
- Live / In-Progress — Instagram agents only.

Import and export
Export downloads the agent as JSON. You choose which versions to include, so you can ship just the published one or the full history. Import creates an agent from such a file. Use it to copy a working agent into another account, or to restore one.Then what
