Overview
Every visual and behavioural setting lives in the dashboard, not in your website’s code. Edit a widget, save, and the change reaches your live site within about a minute.Your embed snippet never changes. This means marketing or support staff can
adjust wording and branding without a developer or a site deploy.
Identity
Bot Name
The name shown in the widget header and used in the transcript labels. Leave it blank to fall back to the agent’s own name. Pick something a visitor would expect to be talking to — a first name works well for support and sales.Agent Name
Shown as a smaller subtitle under the bot name, so visitors know which service they have reached. It comes from the agent itself and updates automatically if you rename the agent. If the bot name and agent name are identical, the subtitle is hidden to avoid
repeating the same text twice.
Greeting
A short line of text shown before the conversation starts. It is displayed, not spoken — what the agent actually says first comes from its prompt. Good greetings tell the visitor what the agent can do:Icon
Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG up to 2 MB. It is used in two places: the launcher button and the panel header. Recommendations- Square images work best — non-square images are cropped to a circle
- 128×128 px or larger keeps it sharp on high-density screens
- A logo mark reads better than a full wordmark at launcher size
Colours
Two colours drive the entire widget.
The widget derives its own tints and text colours from these two values, so
bubbles stay readable without you configuring anything else.
Both accept standard hex values, and the creation dialog includes a colour
picker with a live preview.
Position
Choose which corner the launcher occupies:- Bottom right — the conventional position, and what most visitors expect
- Bottom left — useful when something else already occupies the right corner
If you already run a chat or support widget, put CallKaro in the opposite corner
so the two do not overlap on smaller screens.
Languages
Select every language the widget should offer.- One language — the selector is hidden and conversations start immediately
- Two or more — visitors pick their language before starting
Status
Pausing is the safe way to take a widget offline — it leaves your site untouched
and is instantly reversible, unlike deleting.
Live Preview
The creation and edit dialogs show a scaled replica of the widget beside the form, updating as you type. It reflects your icon, names, greeting, both colours and the launcher position. What You Cannot Change Yet
For transparency, these are fixed in the current version:- Panel dimensions and corner radius
- The launcher icon shape (always circular)
- Transcript wording such as “You” and the Talk button label
- Custom fonts — the widget uses a neutral system font stack
